Lately I’ve been playing around with creating different types of prints… botanicals seem to be everywhere these days! And I love the idea of them on clothing, how cute would these pants be in real life?
I could even see this pattern on curtains, pillows, the works… now if only I could get it printed on fabric! The possibilities are really endless… it’s exciting to think big every once and a while =) Hope you had a great start to your (hopefully short) week!
In keeping with the happy drawings theme… here’s a beautiful pink butterfly to celebrate the official start to summer! Stay tuned for my illustrated summer to-do list =) Hope you enjoy your day to the fullest!
Living in the city, I see so many adorable dogs on my morning commute. And since I usually leave my door around the same time every morning, I see the same puppies walking with their people on my walk to the train.
I know that getting a dog right now is completely out of the question… shoe box apartment… fashion job that keeps me in the office too late… but one day, some day, I would love to have a little dog.
Until then, I can certainly draw them! How adorable are these pups and their fashionable ladies? I just added two more to the shop as 8 x 10 prints. If you love them as much as I do, consider taking one home for yourself =) Have a great start to your week!
A colleague of mine and his partner recently adopted a baby girl and invited me to a welcoming party in her honor last Sunday. This little girl is set for life… for starters her closet is already bigger than mine! The entire event was catered and the two proud daddies went all out with cake, candies, and desserts decorated with her monogram. There was even a red carpet involved… needless to say, I don’t think I’ve ever been to a fancier baby shower!
To commemorate such an occasion, I decided to create an illustrated alphabet for the fashionista-to-be. I had to get creative on some of the letters but I’m so happy with how it turned out and really hope they like it.
I was thinking of adding it to my Etsy shop this weekend to see if there was any interest in illustrated alphabets. I’ve done one before for another friend and think it’s a great way to pull a nursery theme together. Let me know what you think and if you’d be interested in a custom alphabet for your baby!
My last giveaway was so exciting, I just had to do another! This week, I’ve teamed up with Maddie of Madalynne to give away three (yes, three!) mini 5 x 7 prints all inspired by her amazing sewing blog.
As a fashion designer by day, I had so much fun creating these three sewing themed illustrations. I definitely suggest stopping by Maddie’s blog for sewing advice and project how-to’s. These three mini prints would be just perfect on the wall of a craft studio or sewing room!
To enter the giveaway, head over to Madalynne for details. The winner will be chosen on October 4th. Good luck!!
