Some outfit inspiration to brighten your Thursday! I can’t quite remember how I came across Jenny’s blog, Margo & Me… it probably happened when I found her on Instagram and started obsessing over all the amazing retro looks! I’m loving this yellow-palazzo-pants-and-crop-top look… not sure I’d be able to pull this off but how fabulous is she?!
Catch up on her newly designed blog here and get ready for endlessly beautiful looks popping up in your feed when you follow her on Instagram. Happy almost weekend!!
I’ve been able to catch up on my favorite blogs over the past couple of days and I came across this outfit on Blair. She couldn’t be a more perfect inspiration for my first blogger inspired post of 2015. I’m not a blanket cape kind of person but she sure makes me want to be! This fact was further solidified when I saw a super chic girl in a blanket cape while shopping at the Container Store yesterday. So it’s been decided. I need a blanket cape.
I’d like to share more of my drawing process over the next month to document my work a bit better on the blog. It’s been awhile since I did my last progress post, so I thought I’d take some photos throughout the drawing process today and make another animated GIF. So much fun! I’ll be busy working towards my next project to be unveiled in early February. Check back soon for more sketches and have a happy Wednesday =)
Mary Seng of Happily Grey is the queen of cozy chic… when I see her pop up in my Instagram feed, I wish for her wardrobe of comfy, oversized chunky knits, fabulous bags, and effortlessly laid-back-yet-pulled-together looks. I mean even her pup, Allie knows how to take it easy. =)
With the temperatures dipping and the coats coming out, I have a desire to layer and nothing seems more appealing than chunky, comfy, cozy sweaters! I will definitely be looking to Happily Grey for inspiration… check out her blog and be sure to follow her beautiful world on Instagram.
This lovely lady is a very talented friend and former co-worker… and it’s about time I turned her into a fashion sketch! Taryn Multack of the fabulous nail art blog Miss Ladyfinger is such an inspiration for me. A couple years back, she left her day job (just in time for fashion week) and took a leap of faith to pursue her nail art career full time.
She’s had so much success with followers from around the world, fashion week passes every season since to cover all the amazing nail designs backstage, and dozens of magazine features… even a TV appearance! If you don’t already know her, I suggest you hop on over to her blog immediately and check out her twice weekly nail designs for yourself.
When Taryn saw my Instagram post of our mutual friend’s custom fashion birthday illustration, she had to have one! And after going through some of her favorite looks to illustrate, she left it up to me to decide, so I surprised her with this one from NYFW. It’s definitely not fall-like, but I couldn’t get over the color in this vintage top. I knew it would make for a fun illustration!
I hope you have a great Tuesday, here’s hoping this week is a short one… lately I’ve been living for weekends. I should really just wear this sweatshirt 24/7 =)
P.S. If you’d like a custom illustration similar to Taryn’s, contact me for more info!
Happy October! I know I’m late to ring in the new month… nearly a half month late, yikes! My fashion design day job has literally taken over my life the past couple weeks and I just now had a moment to decompress from the stress and sketch some pretty things!
And the perfect way to celebrate the *half way point of a* new month? Sketching a chic fall transitional look by Ania B! After the lovely model/blogger wrote a sweet comment on my last Instagram post, I went over to check out her site and found a beautiful, of-the-moment fashion, and personal style blog. You should definitely have a look for yourself!
It’s so great making connections over Instagram and I love making new blog friends. Thanks, Ania for being this week’s blogger inspiration!
