An Exciting Adventure!

This year got off to a rough start. I’m still in the process of working through things, but the past couple of weeks I’ve realized that it’s been awhile since I haven’t felt stuck.

Usually when I come up against something difficult in my creative process, I tell myself “you can do this” and just try to figure things out on my own. But I’ve come to learn that sometimes in order to move forward, you can’t keep working with the same information, the same methods, and the same mindset. I finished up my last day of work at my corporate job on Friday and now I am officially a full time freelancer! It’s hard for me to imagine what it will feel like to get so much time back in my week for exploring new things, experiencing the city in a whole new way, working in my studio space on new projects… I need a step-by-step plan for a fresh start. A plan that will keep me moving forward.
