Nearly a month and a half ago, the most amazing thing to ever happen… happened! We got married =) The whirlwind of a beautiful day, evening, and weekend after so much planning, stressing, and organizing made it totally worth it. And I couldn’t wait to share pictures and draw all the pretty things! But I needed to take a break…
Fast forward to now and I’m starting to think about sitting back down and getting into the swing of things. We have finally *almost* finished unpacking and finding places for our beautiful new wedding things and after a major cleanse and purge (thanks in part to Apartment Therapy’sJanuary Cure) our little apartment is almost in order!
This year I plan on adding new things to the shop including a few of my favorite sewing prints from my last giveaway! Stay tuned for more sketches and shop updates and thanks for hanging in there during my post-wedding hiatus =) I’m so ready for 2014!
I’m sorry you haven’t seen much of me the past week and a half… with less than two months to go until the wedding, my weekends have been full of planning! I did get a chance though to go out and stop by the BHLDN pop up shop at Anthropologie last week and look at all the pretty things.
I tried on this maribou feathered bolero but alas I looked like a football player… way too poofy at the shoulders. So my search for the perfect winter wedding coverup continues. But that didn’t stop me from pining after these lovelies. Here’s hoping the last two months go just according to plan =)
This past weekend was completely consumed by wedding planning… the DF and I met my mom for a full wedding weekend complete with florist meetings, cake tastings, and a second walk through of our venue!
There are so many little details that still need to be finalized, but we’re slowly working through all the big decisions. In lieu of a traditional wedding cake, we’re doing a bunch of specialty cakes. After trying about eight different flavors and eating way too much of each, I felt sick to my stomach! But all of them were amazingly delicious =) The wedding is coming together before my eyes and December will be here before we know it!
Here’s to a sweet Tuesday… and lots and lots of wedding cake =)
P.S. – and a happy, happy birthday to the best DAD there is! I love you, Dad =)
Finally, I’m back in business… It was a month ago yesterday that my DF (dear fiancé!) popped the question and since then, all my free time has been spent wedding planning. I’m fully absorbed in choosing a venue and booking a date. Once that’s settled, I figure I can breathe a bit easier…
On Friday evening, I stopped by Bergdorf Goodman’s bridal salon to have a peek at Oscar de la Renta’s Fall 2013 bridal trunk show. I was able to see the gorgeous lace, layers, and beading up close and personal! The gowns were breathtaking and just as ethereal in real life… a girl can certainly dream =)
Have a great start to your week!
P.S. – If you’re in the New York area, be sure to check out Bergdorf’s windows… they’re Instagram worthy!
