Sometimes after a long day at work, I don’t want to think about what I “should” draw when I sit down in my corner studio. I’ve decided that for a little while at least I’m just going to draw happy things even if they don’t really have anything to do with, well, anything. Recently I’ve been thinking about flamingos… maybe with the heat and humidity hitting near tropical levels here in NYC!
Since I’m slowly starting to get back into the swing of things, I’ve been looking to my favorite blogs for inspiration. I’ve been following Jessica of Bows & Sequins for probably over a year now. She has a great sense of style and exudes excitement for fashion and girly-girl fun through her blog. Plus, she’s super hilarious and types how she thinks which makes me literally laugh out loud.
We returned from our honeymoon and are settling back into life post-Italy. Our trip was life changing. We packed so much into one week, living each day from sunrise to way past sunset and seeing everything from the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Colosseum to Cinque Terre, Tuscany, and the Grand Canal in Venice. The food was incredible, the people amazing, the sights breathtaking, and the weather absolutely perfect. And there was so… much… gelato! The best honeymoon we could have ever dreamed of and so worth saving up all those months. We can’t wait to return!

Okay everyone, one last hurrah before I go off and get hitched =) The wedding is on Saturday and I’m finally feeling like it’s all gonna come together… I’m a bit of a perfectionist and it’s been all about those tiny little details for the past few weeks. I’m so excited to get married to my best friend and can’t wait to celebrate with family and friends!
