Happy Saturday! I’ve decided to start drawing a collection of my favorite things and what better way to begin than with my favorite cake. Behold the Icebox Cake from Billy’s Bakery. This thing is absolutely perfect… it’s not too heavy, not too sweet, and has just the right amount of chocolate-y goodness. I truly, madly, deeply miss going to the beach over Fourth of July week with my family. It was a tradition up until my parents sold our beach house a few years ago and since then, I haven’t really made it back…
Lately I’ve been inspired by bloggers who also have their own businesses. Since it’s my ultimate dream to be self employed, I look to these girls for proof that it is possible! Meet Kendi from Kendi Everyday. She is so refreshingly honest in her posts and her looks (especially this one!) are always adorable. Not only is she relatable, but she owns her own clothing boutique, named Bloom. How impressive is that? Thanks, Kendi for being an inspiration!

I love cherries and in the summertime there’s nothing sweeter. I get super excited when they go on sale and end up buying so much I eat only cherries for dinner! At this point, why not go a step further and wear them? =) How adorable is this dress from Modcloth? I would pair it with sweet patent heels and some retro sunnies. Happy Wednesday!

This past weekend was completely consumed by wedding planning… the DF and I met my mom for a full wedding weekend complete with florist meetings, cake tastings, and a second walk through of our venue!
