Fashion Month Part 2…

Even though I don’t follow them as closely as NYFW, I still love catching some of the shows in London, Milan, and Paris. And this season some of my favorites were Alexander McQueen, Gucci, Elie Saab, and Dolce & Gabbana

Alexander McQueen was hauntingly beautiful with some of the most gorgeous embellishment and fabric manipulations… the layers, ruffles, raw edges, and details were so feminine and pretty.

Gucci was super fun in an ecclectic-granny-chic kind of way. I loved the oversized glasses, rich colors, and pattern mixing.

Elie Saab is usually all about the elaborate beading but this time there were some more approachable looks (i.e. for daytime) and he utilized a lot of pretty lace and embroidery.

Dolce & Gabbana was so punchy and colorful, I loved the bright island colors and the accessories were fabulous. I just had to draw my favorite beauty/accessory close-up look from the show.

There were so many others that I wanted to draw and at some point you just have to let fashion month go and move on to the next thing, but Dior and Chanel were definitely on my “to-draw” list =)

That should pretty much wrap up fashion month! I hope you liked my sketches and enjoyed following along with me. Up next… gearing up the shop for the {gasp} holidays! The season gifting will be here before we know it and I’ve got some fabulous things in store!!
