I pretty much live in my J.Crew chino shorts during the summer, but recently I’ve been looking for something a bit more exciting. Here’s a round up of some of my current favorites… I can never pass up polka dots, that’s for sure =) Hope you’re having a fantastic weekend!
This past weekend was completely consumed by wedding planning… the DF and I met my mom for a full wedding weekend complete with florist meetings, cake tastings, and a second walk through of our venue!
These colorful slices have become somewhat of a routine lately… the DF and I are hooked on fruit and veggie smoothies. Awhile back we got one of those industrial Vitamixes… which pretty much pulverizes anything… and didn’t really use it much at first. But since getting hooked on weekend walks to get fresh fruit smoothies, we decided its much more economical to make them at home. The fruit slices are so fun and colorful, I just had to draw them. Here’s some happy citrus to brighten your week!

I can’t stop instagramming all the gorgeous flowers that are finally starting to bloom! This is one of the best times to be in the city… the air is fresh, the windows are open, and you can pretty much wear what ever you want because it’s the perfect in-between temperature. Life is good…
I’ve been trying to avoid excessive amounts of sugar for the past six months… but yesterday was my birthday and all bets were off! The DF and I both took a PTO day and started celebrating at the Doughnut Plant. Oh… my… goodness are these donuts delicious. And they have all kinds of flavors and shapes! Our favorites were the toasted almond and wild blueberry… but the pistachio was definitely a runner up!
