I truly, madly, deeply miss going to the beach over Fourth of July week with my family. It was a tradition up until my parents sold our beach house a few years ago and since then, I haven’t really made it back… 

Which is strange considering I live on an island with the beach being just a short train ride away… but for some reason it just wouldn’t be the same without lugging a huge beach umbrella, chairs, boogie boards, and a family-sized cooler full of snacks.

Stay cool this week, it’s pretty steamy in NYC!
