Happy October! It’s finally starting to feel fall-ish in NYC and I’m absolutely loving it! Fall is my favorite season and today we’re heading upstate to pick apples and eat our share of cider donuts…
A new month! This week marks my third official week since leaving my full time job. Over the first week and a half, I was getting into a great little groove, finding a new daily routine, working on projects, discovering podcasts (Stuff You Should Know = Amazing.) Life was grand… then I got caught off guard with a yucky cold last week. Thankfully it didn’t last long and after a few days of recovery and several Kleenex boxes later, I’m back to work towards a very exciting weekend coming up!
Like I said before when this all began, goals are essential. One of those goals I set for myself and have been working towards since I left is a pop-up shop for my friends and former co-workers. It will be a debut of sorts and the launch of a new collection! I’ll be updating the Etsy shop over the next couple weeks with new prints, stationery and giftable items featuring my latest illustrations and creations. Follow me on Instagram for shop updates and sneak peaks. I promise to document every pretty detail and share everything with you soon!
Wishing you a happy and productive start to your week =)
How fabulous are these leopard booties? Whenever I see an amazingly unattainable pair of shoes (sky high, super chic, crazy expensive, alter ego-esque), I covet them not for the purpose of wanting to actually wear them, but just to have them and look at them. I want to collect them and admire them all in a row… sort of like Jenna Lyons… shiny ponies she calls them. I totally relate.
Since these are waaaay too expensive to buy and just leave on a shelf, it was much more affordable to turn them into a print. Now available in the shop =)
After winning the Christian Louboutin & Bergdorf Goodman design contest awhile back, I faithfully receive a glossy copy of the Bergdorf Goodman magazine in my mailbox each season. It always seems to arrive when I’m having a particularly lousy day for some reason… which works out magically as it is always able to cheer me right up!
After leafing through the pages upon pages of beautiful fall things, I went online to *pretend* window shop and found some killer stilettos. These things are like art. I can’t get enough of them… and I’m not a super high heel kind of girl but I just love them. Especially these lace up ones with geometric cut outs…
I have Saint Laurent, Manolo Blahnik, and Aquazzura to thank for inspiring my sketches. And of course, the amazing Bergdorf Goodman for sending me a dose of fashion inspiration always when I need it most =)
Happy October! I was almost ready to put away my sandals and sundresses until we had two 80+ degree days in a row… complete craziness for the beginning of October. But that doesn’t stop me from wishing for fall things!
I’ve been looking all over for the perfect military inspired jacket… not too masculine, not too heavy. This one from Madewell is super cute. Pair that with a happy blue dress, wedge booties, and a patent belt… you’ll be all dressed up and ready for fall! Here’s to a slightly chillier rest of the month =)
